Dr. Brady Palmer

Dr. Brady Palmer

Dr. Palmer graduated with honors in 1991 from Lebanon High School, where he was active in Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta and played trombone in the Marching, Concert and Jazz Band. After graduation, he went to David Lipscomb University in Nashville where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. He was a member of chorus, concert band, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (President for 2 years), Mu Epsilon Delta, and marched with Vanderbilt University’s Spirit of Gold Marching Band.

Afterwards, he worked for two years at the Vanderbilt Medical School doing research with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology in sodium gated ion channels, assisting in major publications, including a letter in Nature.

He attended Southern College of Optometry where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. He was his second year class President, Student Goverment President, member of the AOSA Leadership Council and Gold Key, and was awarded the Joseph Remke Memorial Scholarship.

Dr. Palmer’s professional interests include contact lenses, glaucoma, diabetes, and neuro-eye disease.

He and his wife, Brooke, live in Lebanon, TN where he is an active member of the Berea Church of Christ. He is the play-by-play broadcaster for Middle Tennessee State University’s hockey team and for Penalty Box Radio and is an avid Nashville Predators and Vanderbilt University sports fan (especially the VandyBoys). 
 
Dr. Palmer also serves as a member of SouthEast Eye Specialists’ Doctor Advisory Board
